Adam was founded in 2025 by Aaron Li, Avi, and Zach Dive in San Francisco, California. Frustrated by legacy 3D CAD software weighed down by clunky 1990s geometry engines and rigid, repetitive workflows, the founders set out to build the 'Cursor for CAD'. After graduating from Y Combinator (W25) and securing $4.1M in seed funding, they launched Adam CAD Copilot to eliminate friction between hardware design and physical manufacturing.
