archTIS

Overview

archTIS is an enterprise security company that specializes in policy-driven, data-centric security solutions. Their core software, including Kojensi and NC Protect, leverages Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) to provide granular, dynamic security for sensitive information across hybrid environments. By applying security policies directly to data based on user attributes, document metadata, and environment context, archTIS ensures that information remains protected even when shared externally. This approach replaces traditional, brittle perimeter-based security with a highly adaptive model that satisfies the stringent regulatory requirements of government, defense, and highly regulated industries.

Founder story

archTIS was founded in 2006 by Bruce Talbot and Daniel Lai in Canberra, Australia. Recognizing that traditional perimeter-based security was failing to protect the highly sensitive data handled by defense and government sectors, the founders sought to create a solution that focused on the data itself. Over the years, the company grew from a specialized consultancy into a publicly traded software vendor (ASX: AR9) known for its secure information management and sharing capabilities.
