Founder story
Jan Krause was a software developer helping his wife manage her growing online Dawanda (an Etsy competitor) shop. As sales grew, she was spending hours manually typing out invoices and copying shipping addresses into carrier portals. Jan wrote a small script to automate her invoicing. Realizing every single small merchant was drowning in this exact administrative nightmare, he refined the tool and launched Billbee in 2015.
