Creem

Overview

Creem is an agile Merchant of Record (MoR) and financial operating system engineered to handle global monetization for digital software and AI-native applications. The platform manages automated global tax compliance, local filing, and remittance across more than 100 countries entirely, bypassing the need for separate fiscal localization setups. By integrating a smart checkout ecosystem with programmatic split-payment rules, it allows co-founders, partners, and affiliates to divide transaction gains automatically. Founder story

Creem was founded in 2024 by financial technology professionals Gabriel Ferraz and Alec Erasmus in Tallinn, Estonia. Having previously engineered tracking and transactional frameworks at massive platforms like Google, Adyen, and Change, the founders realized that lean modern teams regularly hit growth blocks trying to sort multi-country digital tax files. They pivoted from an initial open-source relevancy project to design an ultra-accessible global billing rails infrastructure built specifically for independent creators.

Comparison overview

• Unlike individual core gateway providers that leave cross-border tax registration burdens up to the user, Creem functions as a full Merchant of Record to indemnify developers.
• While standard billing modules require separate split-commission plug-ins, Creem executes dynamic multi-partner payment rules natively at the checkout stage.
• Compared to established processing conglomerates charging high baseline percentage costs, its setup lowers processing fees for entry level users.
