EQK is an innovative macOS utility featuring a dynamic AI equalizer that re-tunes audio per song in real time. It allows users to configure individual EQs for every app, apply headphone corrections, and manage audio output devices natively without virtual audio drivers. The platform includes a 10-band parametric Tone Desk, thousands of AutoEq profiles, full signal-chain metering, and a built-in FLAC player. Operating 100% locally with zero telemetry, it optimizes sound tailored directly to user preference and hardware.

Founder story
EQK was created by solo developer Aakash (under KUJA.dev) to solve the persistent frustration of macOS forcing a single flat audio curve across every application and track. Unhappy with having to constantly babysit static equalizers when switching between music, games, and videos, the creator built a native Mac utility featuring a dynamic engine that automatically adapts sound per song.
What it does
- Re-tunes audio dynamically per song in real time using an adaptive equalization engine
