Founder story

Fonoa was founded in 2018 by Davor Tremac (CEO), Filip Sturman (COO), and Ivan Ivankovic in Zagreb, Croatia. Drawing from their collective experience as senior regional operational executives at Uber, the founders experienced first-hand the massive operational hurdles of manually managing country-by-country digital transaction taxes. They engineered an API-first framework to eliminate legacy system drops, subsequently expanding administrative headquarters to Dublin, Ireland, to support global enterprise scaling.
