LiveDocs

Overview

LiveDocs is an AI-powered data assistant and reactive notebook platform that converts raw data into explorable insights. Users upload spreadsheets or link live warehouses to query tables in plain English, bypassing complex SQL coding. The platform features intelligent cell tracking to automatically maintain and resolve database dependencies while minimizing cloud costs. It allows teams to deploy interactive, professional charts and tailored customer data apps effortlessly.

What it does

• Offers real-time collaborative document editing for fast-moving teams.
• Features rich formatting and seamless media embedding options.
• Tracks version history and allows easy restoration of previous drafts.
• Organizes company knowledge into a highly searchable structure.

Who it's for

• Data Analytics Teams
• Growth and Marketing Operators
• Business Intelligence Managers
• Non-Technical Startup Founders

Why it works

• Translates complex technical data inquiries into plain business language
• Builds reactive data notebooks that track internal computational dependencies automatically
• Generates beautiful charts and visual components with zero script code
• Integrates directly across premium databases including Snowflake, BigQuery, and Databricks
• Deploys standalone secure interactive dashboards without revealing underlying formulas

Founder story

LiveDocs was launched out of San Francisco, California to bridge the communication gap between technical data scientists and decision makers. Recognizing that cross-functional growth teams wasted dozens of business hours waiting for custom SQL reports or managing outdated CSV sheets, the founders designed an AI-native data agent. The software couples advanced language models with high-performance engines like DuckDB to deliver sub-second intelligence.

Alternatives

• Metabase
• Basedash
• Decipad
• Hyperquery

Comparison overview

• Unlike legacy static platforms like Jupyter Notebooks that require continuous execution setups, LiveDocs uses reactive tracking to compute only changed dependencies.
• It sets itself apart from standard AI tools by natively linking to production relational warehouses rather than accepting isolated text entries.
• Additionally, its data app publishing mode enables non-technical business partners to adjust visualization sliders without parsing code blocks.
