Modulate

Overview

Modulate provides industry-leading AI-powered voice moderation software, specifically ToxMod, which analyzes voice communications in real-time to detect toxic behavior, harassment, and harmful content. Designed for high-traffic gaming environments, social platforms, and digital communities, it proactively alerts moderators or takes automated actions to ensure a safer experience. By understanding the context, tone, and intent of speech rather than just keyword filtering, it effectively identifies nuanced threats that traditional moderation tools miss. This enables developers and community managers to protect their users, maintain platform safety, and reduce the heavy burden of manual content review.

Founder story

Modulate was founded in 2017 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, by Mike Pappas and Carter Huffman. They created Modulate to ensure online social spaces remain safe, inclusive, and welcoming for everyone.
