PixyCAD

Overview

PixyCAD is a native 3D solid modeling application designed for makers, designers, and 3D printing enthusiasts. Built on the professional Parasolid geometry kernel, it provides a fast, approachable direct-modeling workflow that strips away the complexity of traditional history-based CAD. It is fully optimized for Apple Silicon, allowing for smooth, on-device performance with full support for Apple Pencil on iPad and consistent workflows across Mac.

What it does

• Provides an intuitive direct-modeling interface for sketching, extruding, and refining 3D solid geometry.
• Offers high-performance, on-device 3D modeling optimized for Apple Silicon via Metal.
• Supports seamless cross-device workflows, allowing users to start on iPad and refine on Mac.
• Exports industry-standard formats including STL and 3MF for printing, and STEP/Parasolid for engineering.
• Enables rapid iteration by allowing users to edit faces, edges, and features without complex history trees.

Who it's for

• 3D Printing Enthusiasts
• Makers & Hobbyists
• Product Designers
• Students & Educators

Why it works

• Parasolid backbone provides industrial-grade geometry accuracy within an approachable UI.
• Native Apple Silicon optimization ensures zero-lag, offline-first performance without cloud dependencies.
• Direct-modeling workflow removes the learning curve associated with complex history-based CAD systems.
• One-time lifetime purchase option offers ownership without recurring subscription fatigue.
• Seamless Pencil-first interface makes 3D design feel as natural as physical sketching.

Founder story

PixyCAD was created by Marco Pifferi and the team at Pixyco SRL, launching in early 2026. The team identified that existing CAD software for Apple devices was often too complex or poorly ported from desktop platforms. They built PixyCAD to solve this, creating a native, Parasolid-powered tool that feels natural for iPad and Mac users to get from concept to 3D print quickly.
