Superlist is a next-generation productivity application crafted by the co-founders of Wunderlist to redefine the balance between personal task lists and team collaboration. Operating natively across macOS, iOS, Android, and web browsers, Superlist merges the flexibility of structured document notes with the execution of a professional task manager. The platform features an ultra-responsive interface allowing individuals to drop down raw thoughts, organize complex projects, and assign actionable steps instantly. Founder story

Superlist was founded in Berlin by Christian Reber (the original creator of Wunderlist) alongside a team of experienced software designers. Driven by the goal to build the spiritual successor to Wunderlist after its acquisition and retirement, the group focused on a massive gap in the market: traditional productivity systems were either simple checklists lacking team context or massive enterprise databases that caused focus fatigue. They engineered Superlist to serve as an elegant, local-first alternative built for speed and collaborative flow.

Alternatives

• Todoist
• Things 3
• TickTick
• Notion
• Linear

Comparison overview

• Unlike dense workspace trackers like Notion that require days of structural mapping, Superlist operates immediately as a clean, document-driven layout tool.
• While Things 3 limits its premium experience strictly to the Apple hardware ecosystem, Superlist delivers fluid cross-device syncs natively across Android and Web configurations.
• In contrast to Todoist's flat checklist matrix, Superlist integrates long-form notes where text paragraphs and operational task checkmarks blend naturally.
• Compared to development tools like Linear built strictly for engineering issues, Superlist balances everyday personal reminders with deep project tracking components.
