Tines

Overview

Tines is an enterprise-grade no-code workflow automation and security orchestration platform designed to streamline complex operational pipelines. Built specifically to assist overworked cybersecurity and information technology teams, the software acts as an integration layer connecting distributed data stacks, large language models, and agentic tools. By supplying robust event-driven components alongside human-in-the-loop validation checkpoints, the platform manages manual infrastructure alerts without requiring engineering code blocks. It cuts ticket times significantly while maintaining zero-trust system governance across the entire corporate perimeter.

What it does

• Delivers no-code automation for cybersecurity and IT operations.
• Connects security tools to automate incident response workflows.
• Reduces manual alert fatigue by triaging threats instantly.
• Enables teams to build complex workflows via a visual interface.

Who it's for

• Enterprise Security Teams
• IT Operations Departments
• Managed Security Service Providers
• Digital Forensic Investigators

Why it works

• Connects seamlessly to any digital platform using uniform vendor-agnostic API components
• Embeds robust data control guardrails supporting local agentic execution structures
• Deploys responsive visual tracking boards with intuitive drag-and-drop storyboards
• Cuts manual ticket resolution steps by over fifty percent through background tasks
• Maintains explicit compliance transparency using strict user auditing and access logs

Founder story

Founded in 2018 by cybersecurity veterans Eoin Hinchy and Thomas Kinsella in Dublin, Ireland, Tines was engineered to solve the chronic alert fatigue torturing modern technical operations. Having spent over a decade running security programs at major corporations like eBay and DocuSign, the founders noticed analysts wasted valuable hours copying text fragments across disconnected apps. They built a flexible, code-free execution engine that puts complex orchestration directly into the hands of frontline operations teams.

Alternatives

• Splunk SOAR
• Torq
• Swimlane
• Cortex XSOAR

Comparison overview

• Unlike legacy security automation engines like Splunk SOAR or Cortex XSOAR that require advanced coding skills and proprietary formatting scripts to execute basic paths, Tines builds its workflow logic using universal API building blocks.
• It sets itself apart from developer utilities by introducing full drag-and-drop page styling alongside native human-in-the-loop authorization nodes.
• Furthermore, its vendor-agnostic core ensures complete configuration persistence, meaning you do not have to rewrite existing procedures when switching database layers or cloud host providers.
