YAGNI

Overview

YAGNI is an AI operating platform that creates proactive agent teams which can be managed similarly to human employees. Instead of reactive prompt-and-response chatbots, YAGNI provides structured teams that own real outcomes, track core metrics, and earn trust progressively through a verifiable track record. The platform connects directly with first-party workspace tools to read context and collate daily operational updates. It helps founders and lean teams reduce managerial overhead while maintaining full control over high-risk actions.

What it does

• Deploys proactive AI agent teams assigned with clear responsibilities, target metrics, and time-bound commitments.
• Automates routine operational workflows by reading and executing tasks across existing first-party company tools.
• Manages agent autonomy through a structured trust ladder ranging from training and supervised modes to full autonomy.
• Compiles comprehensive operational briefs morning, midday, and evening to keep humans aligned without manual dashboard reviews.

Who it's for

• Startup Founders
• Company Operators
• Engineering Managers
• Lean Executive Teams

Why it works

• Operates exclusively on open-weight models to ensure cost-effective, continuous background execution for teams.
• Relies strictly on first-party official integrations so data remains private and secure within existing sources.
• Replaces generic prompts with structured delegation models including responsibilities, numbers, and commitments.
• Enforces a strict trust ladder where irreversible actions always require human approval.

Founder story

YAGNI was founded by Jack Collins after experiencing how work continuously flows to a trusted few who eventually become operational bottlenecks. Recognizing that traditional AI tools require constant babysitting and prompt management, the platform was built to treat AI agents like real team members with structured accountability and progressive trust.
